This morning I split up the apples, mixed them all with the apple pie filling...1/3 cup sugar, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg and a small splash of lemon juice per 6-8 cups of sliced apples...put them all into Ziploc bags and they are now freezing. When I need a pie, I can take out the frozen pie filling, thaw it, toss it into a pie crust and bake. Easy as pie...sorry couldn't resist!Johnson Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09889621096566511304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1892378391369618850.post-70158864636930183322008-10-06T11:12:00.000-07:002008-10-06T11:12:00.000-07:00I would imagine that you aren't making a hundred p...I would imagine that you aren't making a hundred pies/crips/cobblers right now. So how are you storing the sliced apples to use later?

PS-I am just waiting for Jen to get me the apple butter recipe and then I will forward it on to you.Shanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15811695982177094755noreply@blogger.com
