Watch Your Fingers
For the most part, Oliver is really good about not getting his fingers pinched in cupboards, doors, etc. However, he just learned a very valuable lesson...where the sliding door meets the other stationary half (in the middle) is another place to get your fingers caught. His nails are on the way to being black and the pads got pinched and popped open a little. A couple of pictures for his boo-boo page in the scrapbook! As a silly sidenote, he is wearing his Sponge Dog No Pants sweatshirt and he is, indeed, wearing no pants. It's much easier to potty train this way and he's actually doing really well.

My poor little fellow.
Poor guy!! Feel better soon Ollie! Those bandaids will help...that and lots of kisses from Mommy & Daddy...
I have GIANT goosebumps just thinking about the black nails and pinched finger pads. Tell him Gammy has more bandaids if he needs them. And please tell him I am VERY proud of his big boy potty!
Aww...poor little guy. Here's to a speedy recovery! Also, happy holidays to you and your family!
Youch! Somehow pinched fingers seem a rite of childhood but still give me shievers. Hey, just a hint for future--arnica gel (homeopathic remedy from health food store type of place) works wonders for bruised nails. Sean dropped a brick on his toe this summer and we put the gel on right after. No bruising, discoloration or swelling. In fact I started to wonder if he had only bumped it. But then 10 days later the nail fell off, so obviously it had been a serious hit. Last week we got one of his uncles to try arnica gel on a badly sprained & swollen ankle; the next day the swelling was down and color almost normal.
