Soap Poll and RAK
So, if you haven't heard yet, my friend Stephanie has introduced me into the world of soap making. I am spending way too much time researching scents, oils, trace elements, essential oils, butters, distillates, etc. and thought that I could turn my recent obsession into a RAK (random act of kindness). I need your help coming up with my next batch of soap that I am going to make. Take the poll to the right then leave me a quick comment letting me know which one you voted for. I will make the winning batch and then randomly draw two names from those who voted for the winner. Those two winners will each receive three bars of my soap once it's been cured. Feel free to get your friends in on the act by forwarding them our blog URL. Poll's close next Sunday, the 23rd at 8pm, good luck and please feel free to leave suggestions for future batches.

I vote for cucumber mint because I have all this mint in my yard begging to be useful.
I vote for Ginger Lime! Cucumber Mint would've got my second vote though. It seems more like a July/August soap. Just my opinion.
Now Patchouli/Sandalwood.....there's a hippie scent for consideration!
My vote is cucumber mint, too.
We LOVE your soap, Tiff...Brian, too! This is a fun RAK!! I will definitely write a note on my blog for your poll.
I love this idea. Thank you for sharing with all of us. Anyway, I voted for cucumber mint. Quite frankly ginger reminds me of when I was pregnant and all I could stomach was ginger. And as much as I love chocolate, it is so not good to have that smell on me whenever I wash my hands. So Cucumber Mint it is!
Ummmmm, chocolate!

Oh, oh, ginger lime please!!!!
I vote for cucumber mint. My second choice is ginger lime. =-) Karen (Stephanie's mom and co-conspirator in soap making.)
I'm a friend of Suzanne Montee and when I read her blog linking to yours about your soap I knew I had to stop by and check it out. I'm in love with the smell of ginger. I voted for ginger/lime. I too think sandalwood would be a great smell for a future bar. I also like honeysuckle, or maybe a fresh lemon for the kitchen. Ohh, grapefruit! That's summery.
Anyway, happy molding!

Tiffany, I'm Suzannes friend from Illinois (now Ohio), Auntie Janet. I voted for the coconut. It just made me think of beaches & WARM WEATHER!! Now...did I miss this or are you selling these as well & if so, HOW DO I GET TO TRY THEM ALL?!?! ; )
Hi Auntie Janet! I've heard a lot about you, all good though so don't worry! =) No, I don't sell the soap. I'm not really set up to do that but you and I might be able to work something out. Looks like this round of soap is going to be cucumber mint or ginger lime so far.
Alicia I love some of your ideas for soaps too! I love the smell of fresh honeysuckle. I also have a recipe for liquid hand soap that would be great for the kitchen in either grapefruit or lemon!
Got you all thinking about wonderfual soaps don't I??? Do I see some future soap makers in the making??
Well, I voted for Rosemary Lavendar. The only one so far...oh well, maybe it's a grandma thing... just sounds like it would smell so fresh and femenine.
P.S.... I LOVE the soap. I've been using it a week, and it's fantastic!!
My cousin Steph forwarded me the link to your blog. Love it, voted cucumber mint, and she actually got me started on soaping too, quite the adventure, isn't it?
I voted for cumcumber mint. Ginger lime came in a close second though. I have purchased some rosemary lavendar from the local lavendar farm and loved it, but would like to try a new one.
Well, you know your mother-always out there with her own thoughts. I voted for coconut mango! Love the smell of both these delicious little treasures!
I too voted for coconut mango (like your Mom) because the smell reminds me of summer.
I think something w/ grapefruit would be nice as well cause you know what they say....
when someone wears a grapefruit fragrance, it makes people think you are 6 years younger than you really are. I like that!!
I've been into aromatherapy with essential oils for a couple years now so had to vote for the lavendar & rosemary. I don't make soaps, just easy stuff like bath salts. A great blend for kids--and anyone young at heart--is lavendar and orange (or mandarin). I've also learned a use for patchouli other than hippy-dippy incense...the pure essential oil is healing & soothing for skin.

Hi mom it's Noah, I voted for ginger lime because it was ahead!
