We got a very late start to our garden this year. The winter was long and by the time it felt right to plant the garden it was late May early June. However, it seems to be doing pretty good. We put up the little fence/barrier this year for two reasons, 1) we have an active two year old that thought the garden was his personal digging spot and 2) we have a bunny living in our backyard. Needless to say, we had to find a way to keep them out. Noah decided on cucumbers (only 1 of the 4 seeds planted came up though), climbing beans, peas, spinach, carrots and romaine lettuce. I also have four tomato plants in pots in the front that have quite a few green tomatoes on them! Noah decided to see how the carrots were doing today and says it tasted great! I've also harvested spinach and lettuce for use on sandwiches or a side for dinner.

The garden looks great- might want to leave the carrots a little longer before harvesting- not much there to eat...
