Mother's Garden

MOTHER'S GARDEN

Could a more beautiful garden
For mothers ever be,
Than her children happy and healthy
Sprouting upright and free.
Each bearing in turn their own good fruit
To honor posterity?

Could there be a more important garden
For a mother's eyes to see
Than the human flowers she nourished
And guided so faithfully?
Her blossoms could well be called "God's thoughts"
Since love lives eternally.

Could a more glorious garden
For mothers ever grow
Than the one her heart has planted
In a straight and weedless row
The garden her soul has prayed for
And asked her God to know?
