No Signature Required

I got an email from Janet, she didn't want to ruin the surprise but was worried that I might have to sign for something so she wanted to give me a heads up. Thinking that I was going to have to sign for something, I was surprised when I found the package at my mailbox yesterday afternoon! I went back home and promptly tore it open and this is what I found...

Herbal foot lotion, stamps to help with the postage on my next R.A.K. and super yummy delicious Buckeye candy from Marsha's! What a great surprise!
(please ignore the missing buckeye, I just couldn't help it!)

Janet just happens to work at Marsha's in Ohio so she gets to help make the peanut butter and chocolate treat. They are a delight and would make a great gift! And just so you know, they go great with your morning coffee.

Oliver would also like to thank Janet for his gift. He can not tell you how much fun he had jumping up and down on the bubble wrap! How did you know?

As a totally silly side note, as I was taking pictures of my gift, something kept catching my eye. When I finally stopped and focused, I realized that it was one of Joel's black socks. Why is there a sock on my dining room table? How did it get there? I have no idea but it had better be clean! Our table seems to be that place that everything lands so it really shouldn't surprise me, but come on, a sock?
Janet, thank you for my great surprise!

What a fun surprise! That could be perceived as bribery for your next RAK. If Janet wins, there will be an investigation.

I MAILED IT ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON...AND YOU GOT IT ON MONDAY!?!? WOW! That pony express is something!
I'm glad Ollie liked the bubble wrap...next time, it'll just be a box filled with it..& nothing else!
OH..& the next RAK...I'll have to use an alias...how about JILL!

Just a side note to Marsha's...you can purchase them at Cracker Barrel...we saw them there over Christmas and thought of Auntie Janet. Yah for you!! But yes, I, too, will be keeping an investigative eye on your next RAK! :)

Can someone please tell me what a buckeye is? I saw chocolate and peanut butter so really how can it be anything but delicious? I have a feeling I will have to buy some of these...but wait how many calories is in one of those buggers?

Funny about the box of bubble wrap. I'm sure the boys would be just as happy with that, but Tiff might squabble a little... especially after already getting a box with buckeyes! So, Jill, you'd better keep the goodies coming...

Ricki...funny you picked up on my "alter ego" name! ; ) YOU SO GET ME!
Shana...its a dough of peanut butter, butter, vanilla & powdered sugar, rolled in a ball & then dipped in dark chocolate. THATS IT! No baking! ummm calories...I'll have to get back to you, I forgot. Tiff was it on your box?

Really? Do we have to ruin a delicious treat by throwing things like calories out there? Fine, but I'm ignoring what I'm typing. =)
Serving 3 pieces
230 calories (110 from fat)
12g fat
4.5g sat. fat
28g carb.
1g fiber
Thanks again Janet! And ummm, what's up with the alter ego thing? Is this a story I need to know more about?

NO TIFF...Just ignore anything you read about my "alter ego". & if you do an RAK contest & get a response from JILL...just go with it ok!?!
(now we KNOW you dont read your comments!) ; )

Those sound delicious! The calories really aren't as terrible as I thought, if you had just 1 it is only 110! So looks like I will be ordering some soon, now the question is where to hide them so Ron doesn't eat them all! HAHAHA!

Janet said...

Shana...dont order them...MAKE THEM!! They are so easy...have Tiff show you or have a buckeye party & make a bunch together!

This pkg actually reminds me of my dear friend Ali . . . over the years she has been thoughtful & will send me RAK's like unused balances off calling cards, probably stamps too, . . . practical & useful things. So dont stress about the pkging Janet - you have a heart of gold & that is all the dressing up this thoughtful gift needs.

Marsha...yep THE MARSHA was pretty excited that we were talking about this on your blog. If you go to their website, its supposed to show where you are from.
The do have an online store if you dont want to make your own.
