Productive Morning!

I got up earlier than expected this morning but, as it turns out, it ended up being a good thing! I've got a lot done and don't have much else to do for the rest of the day.

I pulled the pork from the roast and threw it back into the crock pot, it will be perfect by the time Joel takes it to John's to watch the Super Bowl. This recipe is super easy and super yummy! Slice an onion and toss it into the crock pot, put pork roast on top (shoulder or butt roast work best), slice another onion, pour one cup of ginger ale over the top and cook on low for 12 hours. Pull roast out, drain off fat saving the onions, shred the pork, place back into crock, add one 18 oz bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce, cook on low for 4 more hours. Serve on buns. Yum!
I brewed a pot of coffee...a must in this house and enjoyed my first cup out on our deck. It was chilly but I stood out there and enjoyed the sounds of all the birds. Our neighbor must have refilled his feeders yesterday because they were going nuts over there!
I've also worked on writing down some stuff this morning, had some breakfast with the boys, sent a shopping list with Joel so he can pick stuff up on his way home from the gym and cuddled with my boys. It's been busy but it's all done now. Think I'm going to go do the Sunday crossword now. Have a great day and if you are rooting for a specific team today, good luck to you and your team!

Great job!! I hate mornings like that - you get up and get everything done right away...what do you have to procrastinate about later??
