After game 1, I was hoping, praying, begging, pleading that game 2 would be better and it was! Winds were gusting and it was a bit chilly but there was no rain or hail and chilly was easy to work with unlike the biting cold of the previous week. I also layered him up more and was delighted to hear him tell one of the other parents that he didn't need a blanket this time because, "I warm enough and might even start sweating!" Attitudes were good and I saw a lot more smiles on the soccer field. We arrived happy and left happy! Oliver is looking forward to his next practice and game this week and that's all a mom could ask for.
Warming up before the game.
Long sleeve t-shirt, hooded sweatshirt and team shirt for the torso, gloves for the hands, boxer briefs, extra-long soccer socks that we pulled up high, sweat pants and soccer shorts for the legs.
Carter, Natalie and Oliver waiting for ref. for kick-off.
Oliver and Carter working together, which resulted in a goal!
Loved seeing that smile out there.
Oh yeah, that is much better!
