You Can't Catch Me

I'm the gingerbread man! I made some gingerbread cookies this afternoon and we sat down as a family after dinner and decorated them. It was messy but lots of fun...we laughed a lot.

Getting started and working hard.

Noah decided on the spice drops for his first gingerbread man.

Look at those rosy red, wind burned, cheeks and split open chin. A bag of icing makes everything better.

Give Joel artistic freedom and look what happens...

Not sure if I was liking this one so...

I bit it's head off and it was yummy!

Still hard at work and about this time I am realizing that there are sprinkles everywhere!

The masterpieces...

These look great. The kids and I have been baking sugar cookies and it's so fun adding all the sprinkles and extras.

Yes it is a skeleton! I thought it was a brilliant idea. We were having a lot of fun and came up with some pretty crazy ideas. I made the frosting a bit loose so the boys could pipe it easily so some of our ideas didn't work out as planned but that didn't stop us from being crazy. Can you find the one with chest hair? The gingerbread recipe was a new one for me and it turned out great! It's tasty and depending on how long you cook it you can have soft chewy cookies or hard crunchy pieces which are perfect for building gingerbread houses.

Can I have the Superman one with the big S on his chest? Can I? Please, can I?

Love it, great job one and all.

these are awesome, Tiff! I love that you decorated them as a family--I'll have to get Brian involved in some of those Christmas activities, too!

Um Bob, yes you can have the SuperGingerMan if you don't mind that a certain 3 year old licked all of the red sprinkles off of the symbol then put it back onto the tray!?!
I'm not sure if Mr. Bill was the intent of that cookie but I said the same thing! So Mr. Bill it is!

He is a very excited anatomically correct gingerbread man! It is what it is, we are very accepting of his nudist lifestyle. =)

That looks like a YUUUMMMMY and fun evening. Don't let those squirels see Ollie's apple red cheeks. I miss the boys a lot!
